February 2/1/06 - Troop Committee Meeting 6:15 PM - Wednesday Night Meeting 7:00 PM 2/8/06 - Climbing MB for Wednesday Night Meeting - By now everyone should have received a phone call from their Patrol Leader containing the following information: 1. Minimum of 15 Climbers Required 2. $15 per climber - includes lesson, gear rental, climbing time 3. ALL persons wanting to climb must tell their patrol leader so that an accurate head count can be reached. If we don't have 15 people CLIMBING we can't go. 4. Meet at Hoosier Heights on South Rogers at 6:50 PM 5. March 3/1/06 - Troop Committee Meeting 6:15 PM - Webelos Open House - Wednesday Night Meeting (6:30 in order to set up for the open house! This meeting is our chance to make a great impression on all the upcoming Webelos Scouts!) 3/8/06 - Swimming for Wednesday Night Meeting Meet at YMCA @ 7:00 - 8:30 PM Bring Scout Book, Swim Suit, & Towel 3/15/06 - Wednesday Night Meeting 3/22/06 - Wednesday Night Meeting @ Moose Lodge - Cover upcoming Caving Trip - Board of Reviews - Lifesaving Merit Badge Class Instruction 3/24-26/06 - Caving Trip - postponed to 3/31-4/2/06 due to lack of second adult leader PLC will meet on the cave trip for those members going. This is due to the very busy Wednesday night schedule in March. March 3/29/06 - Court of Honor Pot Luck Dinner @ 6:30 PM Dragons: Side Eagles: Main Dish Moose: Dessert Everyone Family Needs to Bring a 2 Liter of drink and their own table service (plates, cups, silverware) 3/31/06 - NYC Payment II Due - $100 (Pay Monty Fowler) 3/31 - 4/2/06 - Mammoth Cave National Park Leave Moose: 5:30 PM Friday Night Return to Moose: 3:00 PM Sunday Afternoon Cost: $33 per person (includes food) This caving trip is an intro to caving experience. There will be no crawling or getting wet. It should be a good time for everyone. Our newly crossed over scouts are highly encouraged to attend. May 5/3/06 - Troop Committee Meeting 6:00 PM - Wednesday Night Meeting 7:00 PM 5/5-7/06 - Adult Outdoor Leader Training 5/6/06 - Take Pride in America (TPIA) & Hiking Merit Badge 10 Mile Hike We are not camping on this weekend due to lack of adult participation to camp Friday and Saturday Nights. Meet at Moose 7:45 AM on Saturday Bring a Sack lunch you can carry. Pack items (plastic fork, paper bag, etc.) that can be thrown away rather than having to carry them after lunch. Don't forget to bring a water bottle. Wear shoes you can hike in! We will be at Flatwoods Park just west of Ellettsville. 6/21/06 - Cub Scout Day Camp - Where: Edgewood Park (Ellettsville) - Youth need to sign up to be on staff ahead of time!! - NEW INFO: Lunch will be provided. All staff need to come in their Class A uniform. A hat and sun screen are a good idea. September 9/1-3/06 - National Hot Rod Association Nationals (NHRA) at Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP) This event costs $32 for Friday Night, $40 for Saturday, and $46 for Sunday. We will attend only ONE of these times depending on demand. If there is no demand we will not go. I need to know who is going and which date by 8/23/06. 10/11/06 - ALL TROOP MEETING WHO: ALL youth and at least one parent need to attend. WHAT: We will be discussing several topics regarding the future of the troop. WHEN: Starts at 6:30 PM FOOD: Pizza, napkins, plates, and cups will be provided. Please bring a drink to share (2-liter of pop, gallon of milk, etc.)
10/18/06 - Wednesday Night Meeting 10/25/06 - Patrol Leader Council Meeting 6:00 PM - Wednesday Night Meeting 10/27-29/06 - Fall Camporee (We are hosting this event!) - At Ransburg Scout Reservation - Leaving Moose at 5:30 PM (Please try and arrive around 5:00 to help load the trailer.) - Return to Moose Sunday (time depends on how soon other troops leave camp - as hosts we have to be the last ones out) We are hoping to be back no later than 1 PM. We will call when we leave Ransburg. - The PLC will NOT meet Sunday afternoon once we return due to scheduling conflicts. Pack your gear like you are going even if you can't camp. We will be keeping your gear in the trailer unless you need something out of it. Please plan accordingly!! **Parents - if you have any questions please see Clay. Participation in this activity is mandatory if your scout wishes to go to Pioneering Weekend. 11/17-19/06 - Pioneering Weekend (Building Catapult, Monkey Bridge, etc.) Where: Camp Sassafras, Linton, IN When: Leaving Moose Lodge 6:00 PM Returning: Noon Sunday to SLAUGHTER'S for Wreath Pick Up Cost: $13 including food ($ due by 11/15/06) - Cost for ADULTS is $10 to cover food. 11/19/06 - WREATH PICK UP 1:00 PM @ SLAUGHTER'S
